A calm morning weigh-in routine
Five steps that make your numbers fairer and your mornings calmer.
The most useful weigh-in is a boring one: same time, same way, quickly done and forgotten.
The routine
- Wake up and use the bathroom.
- Step on before eating or drinking, in the same clothes or none.
- Stand still in the centre of the scale on a hard, flat floor.
- Let it sync, or type it into Evenly.
- Look at the trend, not the number, then get on with your day.
Why mornings
Your body has had the night to settle. Food and drink from the day before have mostly passed through. Readings are more comparable from one day to the next.
If mornings do not work
Evenings are fine too, as long as you weigh in at roughly the same time each day. Do not mix morning and evening readings when comparing.
Make it gentle
Pair your weigh-in with something pleasant: a glass of water, opening the curtains, a stretch. Evenly’s reminder is one quiet notification, never a streak or a scolding.
